Chapter One: Introduction
1.1 Background of the Study
Educational equity, which ensures that all individuals have access to quality education regardless of their socioeconomic background, remains a critical issue in many developing regions, including Gboko Local Government Area in Benue State. Inequalities in access to education manifest in various forms, including inadequate infrastructure, insufficient teaching materials, and disparities in enrollment rates between urban and rural areas. Photography, as a visual medium, has proven to be an effective tool for advocacy, providing a platform to highlight these disparities and mobilize stakeholders to address them.
